About the Role
As a Sustainability Analyst, you will focus on analyzing and interpreting existing emissions datasets to drive actionable insights. This position has the potential to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.
What You'll Work On
- Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Analyze complex datasets related to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, including detailed category-level breakdowns (e.g., purchased goods and services, transportation, waste, etc.).
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for emissions-related insights.
- Emissions Reporting:
- Develop detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings.
- Ensure accurate alignment with recognized frameworks such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
- Support for Data-Driven Goals:
- Provide detailed analysis to support emissions benchmarking and goal tracking.
- Assist in quantifying the potential impacts of reduction scenarios based on existing data.
- Data Management:
- Utilize advanced Excel techniques to clean, organize, and analyze data efficiently.
- Work with other tools or platforms as needed for data processing and visualization.

Requirements
- Expert-level Excel skills: Demonstrated experience with advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, macros, data modeling, and advanced formulas.
- Strong knowledge of emissions frameworks: Deep understanding of Scopes 1, 2, and 3, including detailed categories within Scope 3 (e.g., capital goods, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream and downstream transportation, waste, etc.).
- Analytical mindset: Ability to process and synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights.
- Effective communication: Skilled in creating clear and impactful reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
- Educational background: A degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional experience: Proven track record in emissions analysis or related roles.
