This includes Scope 1 emissions of 444,000 kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions of 33,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 35,797,000 kg CO2e. Key contributors to Scope 3 emissions in 2025 were purchased goods and services (18,432,000 kg CO2e), business travel (10,889,000 kg CO2e), and employee commute (3,141,000 kg CO2e).

Looking back, IFS's total emissions were approximately 31,681,000 kg CO2e in 2024, 27,518,000 kg CO2e in 2023, 27,194,000 kg CO2e in 2022, and 2,188,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1 and 2 in 2021 (with Scope 3 at 17,819,000 kg CO2e for that year). In 2019, total reported emissions were approximately 138,897,500 kg CO2e.

IFS has set several climate commitments. The company aims to achieve carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025. Furthermore, IFS has committed to Science Based Targets (SBTi) to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. They also aim to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, business travel, and employee commuting by 25% within the same timeframe (2022-2030).
