This included Scope 1 emissions of 1.848 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of 9.284 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 2.691 billion kg CO2e. In 2023, their total emissions were approximately 2.388 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 1.551 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 17.018 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 2.37 billion kg CO2e. For 2022, total emissions were about 1.553 billion kg CO2e, comprising 1.756 million kg CO2e for Scope 1, 17.116 million kg CO2e for Scope 2, and 1.535 billion kg CO2e for Scope 3.

JTB Corp. has set Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved near-term targets. They commit to reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 100% by FY2030 from a FY2019 base year. Additionally, they aim to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream and downstream transportation and distribution, business travel, employee commuting, and end-of-life treatment of sold products by 28% within the same timeframe. JTB Corp. also commits that 68% of its suppliers and customers by emissions (covering purchased goods and services, capital goods, upstream transportation and distribution, business travel and use of sold products) will have science-based targets by FY2030. These targets are consistent with reductions required to keep global warming to 1.5°C. The company is committed to achieving net-zero CO2 emissions for Scope 1 and 2 by FY2030. Initiatives towards these goals include a 10% reduction in power consumption by switching to LED office lighting and equipping air conditioners with energy-saving ceramic sheets by 2030.
