This included about 17,763 metric tonnes of Scope 1 emissions, 2,728 metric tonnes of Scope 2 emissions, and 31,819 metric tonnes of Scope 3 emissions. In 2021, their total emissions were approximately 52,978 metric tonnes of CO2e, comprising around 19,486 metric tonnes of Scope 1, 2,466 metric tonnes of Scope 2, and 31,026 metric tonnes of Scope 3 emissions.

La Banque Postale has set several climate commitments. The company aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040 across all scopes. They are committed to reducing their Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46.2% by 2030, using a 2019 base year. Additionally, they have a Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitment, made in 2017, to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% between 2021 and 2030. La Banque Postale also targets a 25% reduction in the carbon footprint of its directly-held equity and corporate bond portfolio over the 2019-2024 period, extended to infrastructure from 2022. Furthermore, they plan to reduce the carbon intensity of directly-held real electricity producers by 17% between 2019 and 2024. The SBTi has classified La Banque Postale's near-term targets as consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C.
