For 2025, OpenText projects its Scope 1 emissions to be approximately 4,376,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions at around 38,300,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions at approximately 69,318,000 kg CO2e. This follows 2024 emissions of about 4,938,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1, approximately 49,196,000 kg CO2e for Scope 2 (market-based), and around 81,575,000 kg CO2e for Scope 3. In 2023, the company reported Scope 1 emissions of approximately 5,381,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions of about 51,837,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions totalling roughly 86,096,000 kg CO2e.

OpenText has made a commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. It also aims to reduce its Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 50% by 2030, using a FY23 baseline. These targets encompass both its operations and relevant categories within its value chain. OpenText's commitments are aligned with science-based targets.
