Shree Cement, headquartered in India and operating within the cement, lime, and plaster industry, has set clear climate commitments. For the most recent reporting year of 2024, the company reported Scope 1 emissions totalling approximately 21.9 billion kg CO2e. Shree Cement has established near-term reduction targets aligned with a 2°C pathway. Specifically, the company commits to reducing its Scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 12.7% per tonne of cementitious materials by 2030, based on a 2019 baseline. Furthermore, Shree Cement aims to reduce its Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 27.1% per tonne of cementitious materials within the same timeframe. These targets are publicly recognised by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
