For the year 2025, Barco reported a total of approximately 534.1 million kg CO2e in emissions. This total comprises approximately 2.2 million kg CO2e in Scope 1 emissions, approximately 1.3 million kg CO2e in Scope 2 (market-based) emissions, and a substantial 530.6 million kg CO2e in Scope 3 emissions. The largest contributors to Scope 3 emissions in 2025 were purchased goods and services (approximately 176.7 million kg CO2e) and the use of sold products (approximately 267.6 million kg CO2e).

In 2024, the company's total emissions were approximately 531.2 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at about 2.6 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 (market-based) at approximately 2 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions at approximately 526.6 million kg CO2e.

Barco is committed to substantial emissions reductions. It has set a near-term target to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 45% by 2025, using 2015 as a base year. This commitment is recognised by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Furthermore, Barco aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. As part of this long-term strategy, the company has set near-term targets to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030, based on a 2024 baseline. Additionally, Barco commits to a 25% reduction in specific Scope 3 emissions categories by 2030. The company is also working towards ensuring that 30% of its suppliers, by emissions, will have science-based targets by 2030. For its long-term net-zero goal, Barco commits to a 90% absolute reduction in Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 2050, using 2024 as the base year.
