Gubi has set near-term absolute reduction targets. They commit to reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2020 base year. This target has been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C, using a streamlined validation route for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Additionally, Gubi aims to measure and reduce its Scope 3 emissions. A sustainability agreement with their banks outlined a goal to decrease Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2025, from a 2020 baseline.
