The National Audit Office (NAO), a UK-based public administration and defence services provider, reported its carbon emissions for the most recent year, 2024. In 2024, its Scope 1 emissions were 310,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions were 440,000 kg CO2e, and reported Scope 3 emissions included 481,000 kg CO2e from business travel and 2,100 kg CO2e from waste generated in operations. For comparison, in 2023, the NAO's Scope 1 emissions were 308,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions were 430,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions included 355,000 kg CO2e from business travel and 1,700 kg CO2e from waste generated in operations.
