This follows 2024 Scope 3 emissions of around 266,000,000 kg CO2e and 2023 Scope 3 emissions of approximately 291,000,000 kg CO2e. For the same periods, reported Scope 1 and 2 emissions were approximately 20,000,000 kg CO2e in 2025, 24,000,000 kg CO2e in 2024, and 26,000,000 kg CO2e in 2023.

PostNL N.V. has set ambitious climate commitments, including a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions target across its value chain by 2040. The company commits to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% by 2030 from a 2021 base year. Additionally, PostNL aims to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 45% by 2030 from a 2021 base year. These near-term targets are classified by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C. PostNL also commits to maintaining a minimum of 90% absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions reductions from 2030 through 2040, and to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2040, both from a 2021 base year.
