Radius Recycling, a US-based company in the basic iron and steel industry, has not disclosed its total carbon emissions for 2024. For the year 2023, Radius Recycling reported Scope 1 emissions of approximately 144,040,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (location-based) of around 25,485,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 5,400,000,000 kg CO2e. In 2022, the company's Scope 1 emissions were about 154,258,000 kg CO2e, and its Scope 2 emissions (location-based) were around 28,450,000 kg CO2e.

Radius Recycling is committed to climate neutrality. The company aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions for its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, primarily generated during its Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel manufacturing process. This is pursued through a carbon offset and renewable energy credit purchase programme, with a long-term target year of 2050 for eliminating these emissions. Furthermore, its GRN Steel™ product line seeks to eliminate limited Scope 1 and 2 emissions through similar offset and renewable energy credit programmes, with a near-term target for 2023. These reduction initiatives are self-reported by Radius Recycling.
