Seven & I Holdings, a Japanese retail trade services company, reported Scope 3 emissions of approximately 170.9 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This includes around 113.6 billion kg CO2e from the use of sold products and approximately 48.3 billion kg CO2e from purchased goods and services.

In 2024, the company's Scope 1 emissions were approximately 174.9 million kg CO2e, and Scope 2 emissions were around 2.46 billion kg CO2e. This follows 2023 figures of approximately 106.8 million kg CO2e for Scope 1 and around 2.50 billion kg CO2e for Scope 2. In 2022, Scope 1 emissions were about 114.1 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were approximately 2.57 billion kg CO2e.

Seven & I Holdings has set several climate commitments. The company aims for a 50% reduction in all-scope emissions by 2030, using a 2014 baseline. Additionally, they have a long-term net-zero vision for 2050 across all scopes. More specifically for store operations, they target a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030, compared to a 2013 baseline. They also aim to achieve net-zero Scope 1 emissions from group store operations by 2050.
