TAKKT Group, a German wholesale and commission trade services company, is actively working to reduce its carbon footprint. In 2025, the company reported Scope 1 emissions of approximately 3,498,000 kg CO2e. For 2024, Scope 1 emissions were approximately 3,679,000 kg CO2e. In 2023, TAKKT's Scope 1 emissions were approximately 3,460,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were approximately 4,888,000 kg CO2e. This follows 2022, when Scope 1 emissions were around 3,547,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were around 5,090,000 kg CO2e. TAKKT has set several near-term absolute reduction targets. The company aims to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent by 2030, using 2021 as the base year. An interim target is to reduce emissions at its sites by 20 percent by 2025 compared to the 2021 base year. TAKKT has also set an ambitious goal to achieve complete greenhouse gas neutrality by 2045, contributing to limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. In April 2025, TAKKT AG committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). As part of this commitment, TAKKT announced in 2025 that it will revise its Scope 1 and 2 target within two years to align with the 1.5 °C goal of the Paris Agreement, and this revision will also include Scope 3 emissions.
