Zumtobel Group AG, headquartered in Austria, has set comprehensive climate commitments with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated targets.

In 2024, the company reported total Scope 1 emissions of 7,451,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of 2,129,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 4,653,550,000 kg CO2e. This includes Scope 3 emissions from categories such as use of sold products (approximately 4.12 billion kg CO2e), purchased goods and services (approximately 475 million kg CO2e), and end-of-life treatment of sold products (30,700,000 kg CO2e).

Zumtobel Group AG has set ambitious reduction targets:

• Near-term: Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 66% by FY2030 from a FY2020 base year. Additionally, they aim to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 42% by FY2030 from a FY2022 base year.
• Long-term: The company is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by FY2050. This includes reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90% by FY2050 from base years of FY2020 and FY2022 respectively.

These targets are validated by the SBTi as consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C.

For 2025, Zumtobel has provided projected emissions data, with Scope 1 estimated at 6,786,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 (market-based) at 2,915,000 kg CO2e. Scope 3 data for 2025 was not disclosed, with missing data points for purchased goods and services, business travel, and employee commute.
