Ingredion, a US-headquartered company in the Chemicals nec industry, reported its 2025 Scope 1 emissions as 1,750,327,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions as 751,456,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions as 19,819,579,000 kg CO2e. For 2023, the company disclosed Scope 1 emissions of 1,897,186,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of 673,973,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 10,201,373,000 kg CO2e. In 2022, Ingredion's Scope 1 emissions were 2,198,222,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 (market-based) emissions were 809,882,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions totalled 11,743,381,000 kg CO2e.

Ingredion has set several climate commitments, including near-term absolute reduction targets. The company aims to achieve a 28% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2030, using 2019 as the base year. This target is also recognised by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), which classifies it as consistent with reductions required to keep warming to well-below 2°C. Ingredion also commits to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, fuel and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, and processing and use of sold products by 15% within the same 2019-2030 timeframe. Additionally, the company has an ultimate aspiration of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
