METRO AG's reported carbon emissions
METRO AG, a wholesale trade and commission trade services company headquartered in Germany, has reported significant carbon emissions across its operations. For the fiscal year 2025, the company's total emissions were approximately 33.6 billion kg CO2e. This figure comprises 383.4 million kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions, approximately 403.5 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 emissions (market-based), and a substantial 32.8 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions.
