Climate Commitments:

OPmobility has set several ambitious climate commitments:

• Near-Term Targets:

  • Carbon Neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 by 2025: The company aims for carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025, excluding the acquired Lighting activities, with an 83% reduction compared to 2019 levels. This is complemented by offsetting residual emissions. For acquisitions made in the second half of 2022, carbon neutrality for scopes 1 and 2 is targeted for 2027.
  • Scope 1 and 2 Reduction: OPmobility commits to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 80% by 2026 from a 2019 base year, as validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
  • Scope 3 Reduction: OPmobility aims to cut absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions, specifically from purchased goods and services, upstream and downstream transportation and distribution, and use of sold products, by 30% by 2030 from a 2019 base year. This target is also validated by SBTi and covers both upstream and downstream Scope 3 emissions.

  • Net-Zero by 2050: OPmobility is committed to achieving net-zero emissions across all scopes by 2050. This aligns with its core sustainability policy and is a long-term goal validated by SBTi.
