Climate Commitments:

Palfinger has established a GHG emission reduction target for Scope 1 and 2, aiming for an absolute reduction of 2,668 tonnes CO2e by 2030 from a 2022 baseline of 37,155 tonnes CO2e (after retroactive error correction), targeting 29,091 tonnes CO2e in 2030. This includes a 500 tonnes CO2e reduction in Scope 1 and a 2,168 tonnes CO2e reduction in Scope 2. The company also aims to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by one percent annually from the 2022 reference year until 2030. A broader commitment includes a 25 percent reduction of CO2 emissions by 2030, compared to 2015 levels. Palfinger is committed to reducing GHG emissions across its entire value chain, particularly concerning the use of its products and solutions.

Palfinger AG had a "Committed" near-term target status with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as of October 2021, and was a BA1.5 member on the same date. However, its near-term target status was later changed to "Commitment removed" and then "Removed."
