Robeco

Robeco, a Dutch company in services auxiliary to financial intermediation, reported Scope 1 emissions of 190,100 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions of 548,100 kg CO2e in 2023. This data, along with previous years' emissions, is available in their 2023 Integrated Annual Report.

In 2022, Robeco's Scope 1 emissions were 236,200 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were 446,600 kg CO2e. In 2021, these figures were 237,700 kg CO2e for Scope 1 and 363,900 kg CO2e for Scope 2. For 2020, Robeco reported 306,300 kg CO2e for Scope 1 and 360,300 kg CO2e for Scope 2. In 2019, Scope 1 emissions were 470,900 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were 453,900 kg CO2e.

Looking further back, in 2018, Robeco reported Scope 1 emissions as 715,000 kg CO2e from mobile combustion and 1,613,000 kg CO2e from stationary combustion, alongside Scope 2 emissions of 1,613,000 kg CO2e and Scope 3 emissions of 2,890,000 kg CO2e from business travel. In 2017, the company reported Scope 1 emissions of 872,300 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of 1,511,200 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 882,900 kg CO2e. For 2016, Robeco's Scope 2 emissions were 1,305,900 kg CO2e and Scope 3 emissions were 1,198,300 kg CO2e. In 2015, they reported Scope 1 emissions of 1,207,600 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of 2,607,700 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 3,374,800 kg CO2e. Robeco did not disclose specific emissions data for 2007.

Robeco is committed to reducing its operational emissions. The company has set an interim target to achieve a 35% reduction in both Scope 1 and Scope 2 operational emissions by 2025, compared to a 2019 baseline. Furthermore, Robeco is developing a company-wide decarbonisation strategy with targets for 2025 and 2030, aligning with its commitment to the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative and the Dutch Climate Accord.
