Kintetsu World Express

Kintetsu World Express (JP) reported approximately 1.92 billion kg CO2e in total emissions for 2024, with Scope 1 emissions at approximately 9.87 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions at approximately 51.86 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions at approximately 1.85 billion kg CO2e. This represents a slight decrease from the approximately 1.95 billion kg CO2e total emissions in 2023.

The company has set ambitious climate commitments, including near-term targets to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by FY2030 from a FY2023 baseline, and Scope 3 emissions by 25% within the same timeframe. Kintetsu World Express also aims to achieve carbon neutrality across its value chain by FY2050, with a long-term target to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% and Scope 3 emissions by 90% by FY2050, also from a FY2023 base year.
