ACCIONA's carbon emissions and climate commitments are detailed through its recent reporting. In 2025, the company reported total emissions of approximately 3,593,769,000 kg CO2e, comprising Scope 1 emissions of about 196,984,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions of approximately 8,121,000 kg CO2e. Scope 3 emissions were significantly higher, totalling around 3,428,764,000 kg CO2e, with purchased goods and services being the largest contributor.

For 2024, ACCIONA's total emissions were approximately 3,234,269,000 kg CO2e. This included Scope 1 emissions of about 180,579,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions of approximately 16,667,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 3 emissions at around 3,090,434,000 kg CO2e.

The company has set ambitious climate targets aligned with the goal of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C. These include a commitment to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 60% by 2030, using 2017 as a base year. Furthermore, ACCIONA aims for a 47% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030, also compared to 2017. Long-term, the company's goal is to achieve Net Zero Carbon status by 2040 for Scopes 1 and 2, and by 2050 for Scope 3 emissions. These targets are approved by the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative.
