Acciona, a Spanish "Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction" company, reported its latest comprehensive emissions data for 2025. The company's total emissions for that year were approximately 3.59 billion kg CO2e. This included around 197 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, approximately 8.12 million kg CO2e from Scope 2, and about 3.43 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3.

Acciona has set ambitious climate commitments. It aims for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050, as recognised by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company has a near-term target to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 60% by 2030 from a 2017 base year. Furthermore, Acciona commits to reducing its absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, employee commuting, and use of sold products by 47% within the same 2017-2030 timeframe. For long-term targets, Acciona aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% by 2040 from a 2017 base year, and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2017 base year.

Acciona has also signed The Climate Pledge, further demonstrating its commitment to reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.
