• Near-Term Targets:

  • Intensity Reduction: Commit to reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions intensity from purchased goods and services, and upstream transportation and distribution, by 55% per GBP of value added by 2030 from a 2022 base year.
• Long-Term Targets:
  • Absolute Reduction (Scopes 1 & 2): Commit to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% by 2040 from a 2019 base year.
  • Absolute Reduction (Scope 3): Commit to reducing absolute Scope 3 emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2022 base year.
• Net-Zero Target: Essentra commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050.

Additionally, Essentra aims for a 25% reduction in normalised Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025, against a 2019 baseline. They are also working towards achieving GHG carbon neutrality by 2040 across all scopes.
