Graphite India's total carbon emissions in 2025 were approximately 649,973,000 kg CO2e. This includes Scope 1 emissions of 89,350,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of 181,590,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 67,041,000 kg CO2e. Graphite India has committed to becoming a Net Zero Carbon company in line with national targets by 2070. The company has also set near-term intensity reduction targets, aiming for a 12% reduction in Scope 1 GHG intensity of its main product, Graphite Electrodes, by 2023, with a 2021-2022 base year. A similar 12% reduction target for Scope 2 GHG intensity for Graphite Electrodes was also planned for the same period. Additionally, Graphite India plans to replace a significant portion of its grid electricity with renewable energy (wind-solar hybrid) at its Satpur plant from 2024-2025.
