For its infrastructure equity portfolio, IFM Investors set an initial decarbonisation target in 2021 to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by at least 1.2 million metric tonnes of CO2e by 2030, against a 2019 baseline total portfolio emissions of 3.0 million metric tonnes of CO2e. This represents a 40% reduction target. Furthermore, IFM Investors aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions across its asset classes (Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions) by 2050. This net zero commitment also extends to Scope 3 downstream emissions by 2050.
