Lyreco, headquartered in France and operating in real estate services, reported total emissions of approximately 1.68 billion kg CO2e in 2024. This included Scope 1 emissions of 20,927,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (market-based) of 4,183,720 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 1,643,404,000 kg CO2e. Key contributors to Scope 3 emissions were purchased goods and services (1,403,544,000 kg CO2e), end-of-life treatment of sold products (148,870,000 kg CO2e), and upstream transportation and distribution (41,421,000 kg CO2e).

In 2023, Lyreco's Scope 1 emissions were 22,826,720 kg CO2e, Scope 2 (market-based) were 4,847,930 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions totalled 1,680,416,560 kg CO2e. For 2022, Scope 1 emissions were 26,832,240 kg CO2e, Scope 2 (location-based) were 5,801,020 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions amounted to 1,804,172,680 kg CO2e.

Lyreco has set ambitious climate commitments, with all emissions data and targets cascaded from its parent company, Lyreco SAS. The company commits to achieving net-zero emissions for Scope 1 and 2 by 2050, with an interim target to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030, using 2019 as the base year. In 2019, combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions (market-based) were 37,496,360 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 31,060,870 kg CO2e and Scope 2 (location-based) at 6,435,490 kg CO2e. Additionally, Lyreco commits that 76% of its suppliers, by emissions covering purchased goods and services and upstream transportation and distribution, will have science-based targets by 2026. These targets are validated by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and are consistent with reductions required to keep global warming to 1.5°C.
