In 2025, their total emissions were approximately 117.3 billion kg CO2e, comprising about 29.5 million kg CO2e for Scope 1, approximately 14.4 million kg CO2e for Scope 2 (location-based), and roughly 553.8 million kg CO2e for Scope 3 (purchased goods and services).

Looking back, in 2024, total emissions stood at approximately 127.4 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions around 34.6 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 (location-based) at about 15.4 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 (purchased goods and services) at approximately 622.3 million kg CO2e. In 2023, total emissions were approximately 151.1 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 36.7 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 (location-based) at approximately 15.1 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 (purchased goods and services) at around 807.3 million kg CO2e.

Premier Foods is committed to ambitious climate targets. They aim to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 66.8% by FY2030, using a FY2021 base year, and have set a long-term goal to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% by FY2040. Furthermore, the company has committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by FY2050.

For Scope 3 emissions, Premier Foods is targeting a 25% reduction in purchased goods and services and upstream transportation and distribution by FY2030. Their long-term Scope 3 ambition includes a significant reduction of 90% for purchased goods and services, capital goods, and upstream and downstream transportation and distribution by FY2050, all from a FY2021 base year. Additionally, they are working towards reducing Scope 3 FLAG (Forest, Land, and Agriculture) emissions by 30.3% by FY2030 and 72% by FY2050. Premier Foods also has a commitment to no deforestation across its primary deforestation-linked commodities by the end of 2025.
