Climate Commitments and Reduction Targets:

Schreder has committed to significant GHG emission reductions through Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved targets. These commitments are cascaded from the Schreder Group GIE.

• Scope 1 and 2 Emissions: Schreder commits to an absolute reduction of 52.5% by 2030, using 2019 as the base year.
• Scope 3 Emissions (Use of Sold Products): The company aims for an absolute reduction of 27.5% by 2030, also from a 2019 base year.

These targets are classified as "Targets Set" and are aligned with a 1.5°C warming scenario. Schreder is noted as being "on track" for two-year near-term targets for Scope 1 and Scope 3 (use of sold products), but not for Scope 2. The target boundary for Scope 1 and 2 includes land-related emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks.

Previously, Schreder had a near-term target to reduce its company carbon footprint by 20% by 2022, compared to a 2018 baseline, for both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
