Synnex reported total global emissions of approximately 17.7 billion kg CO2e in 2024. This included Scope 1 emissions of 10.78 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions of 20.65 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 17.72 billion kg CO2e. In 2023, their total global emissions were approximately 16.78 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at 11.77 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions at 26.22 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions at 16.74 billion kg CO2e. For 2022, total global emissions were approximately 19.22 billion kg CO2e, consisting of Scope 1 emissions of 10.04 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions of 43.93 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 19.16 billion kg CO2e.

Synnex has set ambitious climate commitments, with near-term and long-term Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved targets. They are committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 42% by fiscal year 2030 from a fiscal year 2022 base year. For Scope 3, Synnex commits that 90% of its suppliers by spend, covering purchased goods and services, will have science-based targets by fiscal year 2028, and 58% of its customers by revenue, covering use of sold products, will have science-based targets by fiscal year 2028. Long-term, Synnex aims to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by fiscal year 2045 from a fiscal year 2022 base year, ultimately reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by fiscal year 2045.
