CDW, a US-based computer and computer peripheral equipment and software merchant wholesaler, reported total carbon emissions of approximately 4.88 billion kg CO2e for 2024. This includes Scope 1 emissions of approximately 2.5 million kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions of approximately 10.47 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 4.86 billion kg CO2e. This marks a reduction from 2023, when total emissions were approximately 5.59 billion kg CO2e, comprising Scope 1 emissions of approximately 3.54 million kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions of approximately 18.61 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 5.57 billion kg CO2e.

CDW Corporation has set near-term Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved targets, aiming to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. The company also commits to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 25% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, covering categories such as capital goods, fuel- and energy-related activities, transportation, waste, business travel, employee commuting, and the use and end-of-life treatment of sold products. Furthermore, CDW Corporation aims for 80% of its suppliers, by emissions covering purchased goods and services, to have science-based targets by 2028. CDW Limited is also committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.
