Cmpc, a paper and paper products company headquartered in Chile, reported total emissions of approximately 9.75 billion kg CO2e in 2024. This figure includes Scope 1 emissions of approximately 1.52 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of about 76 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of roughly 8.15 billion kg CO2e.

Cmpc has committed to ambitious climate targets. The company aims for net-zero emissions across all scopes by 2040. For near-term reductions, Cmpc has set a target to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50.4% by 2030, using a 2018 base year. These targets are validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and are consistent with reductions required to keep global warming to 1.5°C. Additionally, Cmpc commits to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 37.5% by 2035, from a 2020 base year.
