CTCI, a construction work company headquartered in Taiwan, reported Scope 1 emissions of approximately 4.68 million kg CO2e in 2024, with Scope 2 (market-based) emissions at around 5.43 million kg CO2e. Their Scope 3 emissions for the same year were approximately 801.74 million kg CO2e. This includes significant contributions from purchased goods and services (around 760.75 million kg CO2e) and upstream transportation and distribution (approximately 27.33 million kg CO2e).

CTCI has established several climate commitments. The company has a near-term Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) target to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030, using 2022 as a base year. They also aim for 71% of their suppliers, by emissions covering purchased goods and services, to have science-based targets by 2028. For the long term, CTCI is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. This long-term commitment includes a 90% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2050 from a 2022 base year, and a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 3 emissions covering purchased goods and services within the same timeframe. Additionally, CTCI has an internal short-term objective to achieve a 21% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions by 2025, also with 2022 as the baseline.
