Eleco's reported carbon emissions

Eleco, a UK-based computer and related services company, has disclosed its carbon emissions for the reporting years 2020 through 2024. In 2024, Eleco reported a total of approximately 235,000 kg CO2e across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. This figure comprises 63,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1 emissions (including stationary combustion, mobile combustion, and fugitive emissions), and 66,000 kg CO2e for Scope 2 emissions from purchased electricity. Scope 3 emissions for 2024 amounted to approximately 103,000 kg CO2e, primarily from business travel and fuel and energy-related activities. In 2023, Eleco's total emissions were approximately 125,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 40,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 77,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 22,000 kg CO2e. The preceding year, 2022, saw total emissions of approximately 47,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 15,500 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 10,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 22,000 kg CO2e. Eleco has established climate commitments with specific reduction targets. The company aims to reduce its Scope 1 emissions by 20% by 2030 from a 2024 baseline. For Scope 2 emissions, Eleco has set a target to reduce them by 15% by 2030, also from a 2024 baseline. Eleco is also working towards its Net Zero strategy, with a near-term focus for the period 2023-2025, aiming to meet emission reduction targets alongside business growth. The company notes that certain Scope 3 categories, such as purchased goods and services and employee commute, are not yet disclosed.
