Playtech, headquartered in IM and operating in the Computer and related services industry, has reported its carbon emissions and set ambitious climate commitments.

In 2025, Playtech's Scope 1 emissions were approximately 762,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 2 market-based emissions were about 1,821,000 kg CO2e. Scope 3 emissions were reported as approximately 64,242,000 kg CO2e, with significant contributors including purchased goods and services (around 24,251,000 kg CO2e) and capital goods (about 16,345,000 kg CO2e).

For 2024, Playtech's Scope 1 emissions were approximately 731,000 kg CO2e. Scope 2 market-based emissions were around 1,612,000 kg CO2e, while Scope 3 emissions totalled about 197,485,000 kg CO2e. In 2022, Playtech's total reported emissions were approximately 113,743,000 kg CO2e. This included Scope 1 emissions of about 3,012,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 2 market-based emissions of roughly 1,631,000 kg CO2e. Scope 3 emissions stood at approximately 109,100,000 kg CO2e, with purchased goods and services (around 32,138,000 kg CO2e) and franchises (about 45,957,000 kg CO2e) being primary drivers.

Looking back to 2021, Playtech's total reported emissions were approximately 88,669,000 kg CO2e. This comprised Scope 1 emissions of around 1,171,470 kg CO2e, and Scope 2 market-based emissions of about 7,077,830 kg CO2e. Scope 3 emissions were approximately 80,420,000 kg CO2e, with purchased goods and services (around 41,031,250 kg CO2e) and franchises (about 17,972,320 kg CO2e) as the largest components.

Playtech has established ambitious Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated reduction targets. The company commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2040. Near-term, Playtech aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50.4% by 2032 from a 2022 base year, and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 50.4% within the same timeframe. Long-term, by 2040, the company targets a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions and a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions, also from a 2022 base year.
