Sita, a Swiss-headquartered company in the Post and telecommunication services industry, reported total emissions of approximately 160.9 million kg CO2e in 2024. This includes Scope 1 emissions of about 2.9 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 1.6 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of around 156.5 million kg CO2e. In 2023, the company's total emissions were approximately 162 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 1.8 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 1.8 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 158.4 million kg CO2e. In 2022, total emissions stood at roughly 184.9 million kg CO2e, comprising Scope 1 emissions of about 1.7 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 987,000 kg CO2e (market-based), and Scope 3 emissions of around 182.3 million kg CO2e.

Sita has set several climate commitments. It aims to reduce its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 4.2% annually, with a start year of 2019 and an end year of 2030. Additionally, the company is working towards reducing its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions to near zero by 2025.

Sita also has Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated targets. The company commits to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. These targets cover greenhouse gas emissions from company operations (Scopes 1 and 2) and are consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C.
