Vaillant, headquartered in Germany, reported its latest carbon emissions for 2024. Its Scope 1 emissions were approximately 36,438,000 kg CO2e, and its Scope 2 market-based emissions were about 216,000 kg CO2e. The company also disclosed Scope 3 emissions, specifically from the use of sold products, which amounted to approximately 133,159,000 kg CO2e. For 2023, Vaillant's Scope 1 emissions were around 39,984,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions were about 207,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions from the use of sold products were approximately 153,165,000 kg CO2e.

Vaillant has committed to Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved goals. The company aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. As a near-term target, Vaillant (Vaillant GmbH) is committed to reducing its absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46.2% by 2030, using 2019 as the baseline year. Additionally, it plans to reduce Scope 3 emissions from the use of sold products by 55% per million EUR value added within the same timeframe. For its long-term targets, Vaillant aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2019 base year, and to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 97% per million EUR value added by 2050. These targets align with a 1.5°C global warming scenario.
