ITV plc's commitment to climate action is underscored by its ambitious net-zero targets and ongoing emissions reporting. For the year 2025, ITV reported total global emissions of approximately 4.81 million kg CO2e. This figure comprises approximately 990,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1 emissions and approximately 2.89 million kg CO2e for Scope 2 emissions (market-based). Scope 3 emissions were substantial, totalling approximately 255.38 million kg CO2e. Looking at previous years, ITV's total global emissions for 2024 were approximately 5.59 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at about 1.17 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 at approximately 2.65 million kg CO2e. Scope 3 emissions for 2024 were around 318.65 million kg CO2e. In 2023, total emissions were approximately 35.0 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at approximately 1.73 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 at about 2.46 million kg CO2e, while Scope 3 emissions reached approximately 345.64 million kg CO2e. ITV has set a long-term goal to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions across its operations and supply chain by 2050. This commitment aligns with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), which ITV has committed to. Specifically, ITV has set near-term targets to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 46% by 2030 from a 2019 baseline. Furthermore, ITV aims to increase its annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 40% in 2019 to 100% by 2025. For Scope 3 emissions, ITV has committed to a 28% reduction by 2030, also from a 2019 base year. ITV also has a long-term target to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2019 base year. The company has also stated its commitment to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2030, investing in carbon sinks to address residual emissions.
