Cemex, a global leader in the cement, lime, and plaster industry headquartered in Mexico, has reported its carbon emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3. For the year 2025, Cemex's total calculated emissions are approximately 42.3 billion kg CO2e. This figure is comprised of roughly 26.1 billion kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions, around 1.8 billion kg CO2e from Scope 2 emissions, and approximately 12.4 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions.
Reviewing historical data, Cemex reported approximately 52.6 billion kg CO2e in 2023 and about 57.3 billion kg CO2e in 2022. In 2021, total emissions were approximately 60.2 billion kg CO2e, and in 2020, they stood at approximately 61.5 billion kg CO2e.
Cemex has established significant climate commitments, aiming for net-zero CO2 emissions across the company by 2050.
