This includes Scope 1 emissions of about 687,207,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 2,589,000 kg CO2e (market-based), and Scope 3 emissions totalling about 38,950,000 kg CO2e. In 2023, SGN reported total emissions of approximately 745,335,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at about 713,856,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at approximately 2,654,000 kg CO2e (market-based), and Scope 3 at around 31,859,100 kg CO2e.

The company has set near-term targets to reduce its business carbon footprint scope 1 and 2 emissions by 25% by the end of 2026, compared to a 2019/20 baseline.
