Verbund, an electricity company headquartered in Austria, is committed to significant greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions. In 2025, Verbund reported approximately 4.2 billion kg CO2e in total emissions. This comprised about 857 million kg CO2e of Scope 1 emissions and approximately 227 million kg CO2e of Scope 2 emissions (market-based). Scope 3 emissions for the same year were around 3.1 billion kg CO2e. The company aims to cut its absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 74% between 2020 and 2030, excluding Category 2 emissions.
