Naturgy, headquartered in Spain and operating within the Natural Gas Liquids industry, reported total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of approximately 107.3 billion kg CO2e in 2025. Of this, Scope 1 emissions accounted for approximately 13.1 billion kg CO2e, and Scope 2 emissions were around 200 million kg CO2e, with Scope 3 emissions making up the largest portion at approximately 94 billion kg CO2e. In the preceding year, 2024, total emissions were approximately 120 billion kg CO2e, comprising 11.5 billion kg CO2e for Scope 1 and 107.5 billion kg CO2e for Scope 3, with Scope 2 at 500 million kg CO2e. For 2023, total emissions were approximately 125.16 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 12.46 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 397.5 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 101.7 billion kg CO2e.

Naturgy has established several climate commitments. The company aims to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 48% by 2025, using 2017 as a baseline year. Additionally, they are targeting a 20% reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions by 2025, also relative to a 2017 baseline. Further targets include reducing the GHG emissions intensity of electricity generation by 56% by 2025, compared to 2017 levels. Naturgy has also committed to achieving climate neutrality, meaning net-zero GHG emissions across all scopes (1, 2, and 3), by 2050. They also aim to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions to near zero by the middle of the current decade.
