Bpost, a Freight Transportation Arrangement company headquartered in Belgium, reported total emissions of approximately 408.3 million kg CO2e in 2025. This includes about 74.4 million kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions, 18.1 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 market-based emissions, and 315.8 million kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions.

In 2024, Bpost's total emissions were approximately 419.4 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at about 76.5 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions at 22.1 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions at approximately 320.8 million kg CO2e. For 2023, total emissions were around 453.5 million kg CO2e, comprising 78.9 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, 29.9 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 market-based, and 344.7 million kg CO2e from Scope 3.

Bpost has set Science Based Targets (SBTi) to significantly reduce its emissions. The company commits to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. Near-term targets include reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 71.3% by 2035 from a 2024 base year. Additionally, Bpost aims to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, business travel, and employee commuting by 38.2% within the same timeframe.

Long-term, Bpost commits to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90.9% by 2050 from a 2024 base year, and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90.1% by 2050 from a 2024 base year. These targets are consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C. Bpost is also a signatory to The Climate Pledge, committing to reach net-zero carbon by 2040.
