Griffith University, an education services provider based in Australia, has committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2029. This significant target, established in 2022, encompasses all scopes of emissions. As part of this commitment, the university aims to source 100% renewable energy by the same year.

The university intends to compensate for only residual emissions, aiming to limit compensation to a maximum of 5% of its 2010/11 baseline year (excluding aviation emissions), with further detailed planning for aviation emissions.
