Is an SCF primary or secondary data?

An SCF measured by the supplier for the service it delivers to you is primary data under the GHG Protocol Scope 3 Standard. A per-unit figure taken from a generic database for a service type, such as an average emission factor per tonne-kilometre, is secondary data. As with products, only the primary figure moves when the supplier reduces its emissions.
