Emissions in 2020 totalled approximately 1.9 million kg CO2e. AMS is committed to achieving Net Zero Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 2045, using a 2021 baseline. As part of their near-term strategy, they aim for a 42% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, also from a 2021 baseline. Further demonstrating their commitment, AMS has set a target for a 42% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by FY2030 from a FY2023 base year, as validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). They also commit to maintaining zero Scope 1 emissions through FY2030. More recently, AMS has outlined a commitment to Net-Zero Scope 3 emissions by FY2045 from an FY2024 base year, alongside a target of a 30% absolute reduction in Scope 3 Category 12 (End-of-Life Treatment of Sold Products) GHG emissions per tonne of product sold by 2033 from an FY2024 base year. They project a decrease in carbon emissions to approximately 9,891 tonnes CO2e by FY2045, requiring an annual absolute reduction of 4.3% compared to their FY2024 baseline.
