AGC, a Japanese glass and glass products manufacturer, reported Scope 1 and 2 emissions of approximately 9.6 billion kg CO2e in 2025. In 2024, the company's Scope 1 emissions were 5.781 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (market-based) were 4.132 billion kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions totalled 6.86 billion kg CO2e. This includes 3.738 billion kg CO2e from purchased goods and services, 1.471 billion kg CO2e from the use of sold products, 1.168 billion kg CO2e from end-of-life treatment of sold products, and 483 million kg CO2e from upstream transportation and distribution.
AGC has set several climate commitments. The company aims for net-zero carbon emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2050.
