Ambea

Ambea, a Swedish health and social work services provider, reported total carbon emissions of approximately 62,349,000 kg CO2e in 2024. This figure includes Scope 1 emissions of 2,224,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions of 8,679,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 51,447,000 kg CO2e. Looking ahead to 2025, Ambea projects total emissions of about 59,108,000 kg CO2e, comprising 1,440,000 kg CO2e from Scope 1, 7,847,000 kg CO2e from Scope 2 (market-based), and 49,328,000 kg CO2e from Scope 3.

Ambea has set ambitious near-term Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitments. The company pledges to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 58.8% by 2034, using 2024 as a base year. Furthermore, Ambea commits to reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, business travel, and employee commuting by 63.8% per million SEK value added within the same timeframe. These targets cover emissions from company operations (Scopes 1 and 2) and are consistent with reductions required to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
