América Móvil, a Mexican post and telecommunication services company, reported total carbon emissions of approximately 4.04 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This figure comprises 294.33 million kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions, 1.36 billion kg CO2e from market-based Scope 2 emissions, and approximately 2.32 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions. In 2024, their total emissions were about 4.07 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 311.98 million kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 at 1.30 billion kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 2.40 billion kg CO2e. Looking back to 2023, total emissions were approximately 4.42 billion kg CO2e, including 321.15 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, 1.49 billion kg CO2e from market-based Scope 2, and 2.52 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3.

América Móvil has set ambitious climate commitments, with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated targets. They are committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 52% by 2030, against a 2019 baseline. Additionally, they aim to reduce absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 14% by 2030, also from a 2019 base year. The company has a long-term goal to achieve net-zero emissions across all scopes by no later than 2050. These targets are consistent with the reductions required to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
