America Movil, a telecommunications service provider headquartered in Mexico, reported total emissions of approximately 4.04 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This includes Scope 1 emissions of approximately 294.3 million kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions of about 1.36 billion kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of roughly 2.32 billion kg CO2e.

Looking back, their total emissions were about 4.07 billion kg CO2e in 2024, approximately 4.42 billion kg CO2e in 2023, and around 4.51 billion kg CO2e in 2022. In 2021, total emissions were about 4.67 billion kg CO2e, while in 2020, they were approximately 5.71 billion kg CO2e. For 2019, the total emissions stood at about 5.27 billion kg CO2e. Earlier data indicates Scope 1 and 2 emissions of approximately 2.34 billion kg CO2e in 2018, about 2.51 billion kg CO2e in 2017, around 3.36 billion kg CO2e in 2016, and approximately 516.1 million kg CO2e in 2015.

America Movil has set ambitious climate commitments. They aim to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 52% and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 14% by 2030, using a 2019 base year. These targets are validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5°C. Furthermore, America Movil is committed to achieving net-zero emissions across all scopes by no later than 2050. They also stated a mid-term reduction target of 19% for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025, compared to 2019 levels, as part of a Sustainability Linked Loan.
