Australian Capital Territory Government

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government, operating in public administration, has established significant climate commitments. In 2017, total emissions were around 11,040 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 900 kg CO2e and Scope 2 at approximately 10,140 kg CO2e.

The ACT Government's principal target is to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to achieve zero net emissions by 30 June 2045. While specific progress reports on meeting these targets are not detailed here, the government is actively disclosing its emissions and setting long-term climate goals.
