Catl's reported carbon emissions

CATL, headquartered in China and operating within the other miscellaneous electrical equipment and components industry, has established a comprehensive "Zero-Carbon Strategy". This strategy aims for carbon neutrality in core operations by 2025 and carbon neutrality across the entire supply chain by 2035. In 2022, CATL's Scope 1 emissions were approximately 610.9 million kg CO2e, with Scope 2 emissions at about 2.63 billion kg CO2e, leading to a combined Scope 1 and 2 total of around 3.24 billion kg CO2e. The Scope 1 and 2 combined emissions intensity for 2022 was approximately 0.068 kg CO2e per USD. CATL has demonstrated progress in emission reduction. Between 2022 and 2023, the greenhouse gas emission intensity per product unit saw a reduction of 45.55% for both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. While Scope 3 data is partially reported, the company notes missing data points for purchased goods and services across various reporting years.
