This total encompasses Scope 1 emissions of about 45.9 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 6 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of nearly 93 million kg CO2e.

For the 2023 reporting year, the company's total emissions were approximately 130.8 million kg CO2e, consisting of about 49.5 million kg CO2e in Scope 1, roughly 6.1 million kg CO2e in Scope 2, and an estimated 108.3 million kg CO2e in Scope 3.

IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals has established several climate commitments. It aims to reduce its absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by the fiscal year 2030, using the fiscal year 2023 as a baseline. Additionally, the company has set a target to reduce its absolute Scope 3 emissions by 42% by FY2030, also from a FY2023 baseline.

Further long-term goals include a commitment to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by fiscal year 2050.
